MDS Defence Technologies has signed a contract with Qatar Armed Forces during Doha International Maritime Defense Fair and Conference (DIMDEX 2018) in Qatar for BUROQ Special Marine Operations Training Center to be established in Zekreet Zone.
Qatar Special Forces Commander Major General Hamad Abdulla Al Marri, MDS Chairman İlyas Ayvacı and Board Member Izzet Özgümüş signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, the Marine Special Forces Training Center will meet the training needs of 200 military personnel at the same time.
In the center which will be set up on approximately 130 acres of land, there will be a management building, a 50 meter indoor shooting range and simulation center, a multipurpose training center and a parachute training area, a residential training area, a bomb education area, a cargo ship prepared for counter-terrorism and fire training, pentathlon training area, a pier for zodiac boats, 200-person troop dormitory, 50-person officer dormitory, a dining hall, weapons and ammunition stores.
